Policies and Guidelines

Accomodations:

Room prices are based on double occupancy. Each room has a private bath, television, mini fridge and independently controlled heat and air conditioning. All 4 rooms have king beds. All room rates are the same and are subject to all applicable taxes. Rates are subject to change without notice except for advance deposit reservations that have already been booked. Rates may increase during high impact periods.

Reservations and payment:

Reservations made more than 14 days prior to your arrival will require a deposit equal to one night’s room rate or 50% of the entire stay’s rate, whichever is greater; the balance is due upon check-in. Reservations made less than 14 days prior to arrivalrequire payment in full. A two night minimum stay is required Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We accept one night stays Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Cash. Advance payment is not a damage deposit.

Cancellations:

Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to arrival date will result in a refund of your deposit minus a $35 processing fee. Cancellations received 14 days or less from arrival date, no-shows and/or early departures are non-refundable.

Check-in:

After 3:00 P.M. EST.

Check-out:

11:00 A.M. EST. No early check-ins or late check-outs without prior approval. An access code for exterior and interior doors will be provided prior to check-in.

Noise Policy:We ask that all conversations, radios, TV’s, etc. be kept at a respectable level at all times and especially after 10:00 P.M. We want everyone at the Lawson House to enjoy their stay and get a good night’s sleep.

Pets:

Service animals ARE allowed at the Lawson House however, due to allergens, noise concerns and risk of damages, no other pets are allowed.

Smoking:

Smoking and vaping are NOT allowed in the Lawson House or on the front porch. Violation of this policy will result in a $250 cleaning fee that will automatically be added to your credit card.

Common Area/Kitchen:

There is a small kitchen with a coffee maker, microwave, sink and refrigerator that is available to all guests. We ask that you please clean up after yourself as best you can. The large refrigerator may be used at your own risk so please mark your items and respect the property of other guests.

No Daily Maid Service:

Linens, bath towels, soaps and other toiletries are provided for every room however, these items are not changed or replaced ona daily basis. Replacements are all available upon request and any special cleaning requirements can be provided as needed.

Items left in rooms:

Items left in rooms may be returned at the request of the guest. A service fee and the cost of packaging and shipping will be applied to the guest card on file. Guests may also pick up items that were left behind. The Lawson House will not be responsible for items left more than 30 days.

Damages:

Guests will be responsible for payment of damages made to either the house or of room furnishings. Charges made for repair or replacement of damaged items will be applied against the guest credit card on file.

Disclaimer:

The owners of the Lawson House are not responsible for any accident, injury or illness that occurs while guests are on the property. Owners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting a reservation it is agreed that guests are expressly assuming any risk during their stay at the Lawson House.

Advertising and Marketing:

The Lawson House makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all information contained in its brochures, website and other advertisements. We reserve the right to alter, substitute or withdraw any service without notice . The Lawson House shall not be bound by any descriptions, prices or other information included therein.

Security:

Access to all interior and exterior doors is by electronic locks and all doors automatically lock when closed. Security cameras are used in all common areas (kitchen and hallways) as well as the exterior of the building to further ensure the safety of our guests.
